I’m going to start posting “language news” posts here on Infundibulum. It’s something I find myself wanting to blog about a lot, and my opinions on it are prehaps a bit too opinionated to put up on the Blogamundo developer blog, so I figured I would bring them here.
I actually experimented for a bit on Blogspot here: Language News, and I found plenty of content. As a matter of fact, I’m going to import those posts here right now, so, here comes the onslaught.
Here’s the description from that temporary blog:
I post briefly about language stuff: language death, language revival, and language policy, especially. Suggestions welcome at pathall at gmail.
Offer still stands — suggestions welcome.

If you prefer Atom.
Google admits that they failed to promote for-sale shows on their video site clearly enough, but they don’t say anything about getting in bed with Chinese government censorship.
Lame.
“Send them home.”
A funny article from Hetq Online: Welcome to Armenia, Americano.
It tells the tale of an American Peace Corps volunteer’s first day in Armenia.
Also, what to call the electric thing you stick in a bucket of water to heat it up. (A kipyatilnik, of course.)
Good to know!
Feed Icons - Help establish the new standard
Hmm yeah, good idea. So is this supposed to apply to Atom as well?
Oh, and am I a geek yet that I should be thinking about this stuff instead of like… being Christmassy?
Icons are good presents, methinks.
Editing WordPress posts in Performancing | Performancing.com
Testing Performancing… seems pretty neat. The account setup wizard was quite easy.
Ooops, I broke my own rule — I forgot to test Performancing with non-Ascii text.
That should do it.
Looks ok. But the markup that comes out of Performancing on the other side of Wordpress is kind of icky… not sure whose fault that is.
I’ve noticed a rather annoying trend on link aggregation sites like del.icio.us and digg.
Lists.
I mean, good grief, look at the top ten on del.icio.us/popular?new:
Digg too:
I don’t know why those bug me… something sort of sound-bitish, I guess.
Neat: Odeo: BBC’s Documentary Archive . There are like 50-something of them.
Just started listening to this one, about my favorite tiny South American country where everyone speaks Spanish:
Odeo: Brazil: The Gentle Giant Awakes
