The easy answer to the question "what do we replace cars with?" is "those things in the Jetsons!"

Well, somebody went and built one, apparently... it's called the "Moller Skycar."

Now let's back off for a second here.

Why do cars suck?

Let me count the ways.

* They suck up fossil fuels, causing untold economic and political grief.
* They are driven by individual human drivers, and humans are liable to things like, oh, being distracted by billboards. And killing each other as a result.

How again is a jet car supposed to solve any of these problems?
